Turning Point Drug & Alcohol Service

Turning point provide support help and guidance for anyone affected by their own or someone else’s drug or alcohol use. 

Alcoholics Anonymous

Members meet to share their experiences and give each other mutual support to stay sober.  A meeting is held everyday, call the helpline for details.

Frank

Provides accurate and consistent advice, information and support to anyone concerned about drugs. Advisors are professional trained and give unbiased information. Calls are free and will not appear on phone bills.

Bereavement Support

Cruse Bereavement Care

Offers information support and advice to anyone who has been bereaved by a death to help them understand and cope with their loss. Services include telephone support, publications, support and advice for children and training for organisations who work with bereaved people. Home visits available.

The Race Equality Centre in Leicester and Leicestershire

Advice on racial harassment and discrimination, particularly around employment, housing, education and statutory service provision. Promote equality of opportunity, work towards the elimination if racial discrimination. Advice for refugees. Racial harassment intervention and support.

Diabetes UK

Specialist information and advice on all aspects of living with diabetes.

Includes helping someone cope with diagnosis etc.

Loughborough Youth Affairs

Support and social groups for 16-25 year olds who feel depressed, confused, stressed or living with mental health issues. Includes young women's group and young carer's group

National Debtline

Free and confidential debt advice.

Community Advice and Law Service (CALS)

An independent, free and confidential advice service. Offers free legal advice for areas of law which include debt, welfare benefits and housing.

Housing & Homelessness

Leicester City Homeless City Outreach

Helps to find suitable, sustainable accommodation and referrals to the Dawn Centre dormitory in cases of immediate need. Offering help to access to healthcare, benefits and housing.
Signposting to voluntary and charitable organisations who provide clothing, food parcels or similar.

Homeless Emergency 

Emergency housing help to those who need help as soon as possible.
